Latest Improvements

We have put hot drinks facilities in each bedroom. Fresh milk, fruit, a selection of cold drinks and a wider choice of teas are still available in the gallery.

The white room has new bedside tables and double duvets. We will continue to use single duvets for children.

We have removed the large conifers at the front of the house and replaced them with a fence & hedging. This has greatly improved visibility when coming in & out of the driveway.

We now have a vastly improved balcony which is available to guests staying in coffee. It ‘s furnished with a bistro table & chairs and will shortly have new pots planted up to give loots of colour. We’ had to drastically ‘prune’ the wisteria so hope it recovers!

All our family have now attended cookery classes at Vaughan’s Kitchen and can thoroughly recommend them.  Run by the owners of the very popular Bistro in Devizes, the school is a short walk from us. For more info, see their website here or give me a call and I’ll send you a leaflet.

The White Horse Challenge

This year’s Challenge, which raises money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, takes place on 6th & 7th July. As last year, we are offering a 20% discount to walkers staying with us for 3 nights, 5th, 6th & 7th, plus free transport to and from the start/finish points each day. Walking Holiday Offers

All guests booking a walking holiday will be sent a signed copy of either Pewsey Rambles or The Mid-Wilts Way, both by James Alsop. If booking for 2 or more people, both books will be sent (while stocks last). These books will whet your appetite for your forthcoming holiday.

Pewsey Rambles

This guide for walkers gives directions for 12 circular walks of varying length. Each route is accompanied by sketch maps and illustrations and is prefaced with detailed introduction.

Mid-Wilts Way

A guide to the 55-mile waymarked trail across Wiltshire from Wootton Rivers on the Kennet & Avon Canal in the east to Mere in the south-west. The walk takes in the best of Wiltshire's downland and nine picturesque villages.
